Percussor Therapy

The Percussor is a hand-held mechanical device that distributes waves of percussion impulses deep into the tissues of the body. The percussor penetrates the various levels of fascia in order to assist the muscles in relaxing. This effective, safe and gentle treatment promotes increased blood and lymphatic circulation and relieves muscle pain.

Cold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser Therapy or Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is an FDA approved, non-invasive treatment. LLLT uses specific wavelengths of light to interact with tissue on a cellular level in order to restore cells that have been damaged by injury. LLLT helps to accelerate the healing process by reducing pain and swelling while increasing circulation and functionality.

Biomat Therapy

Biomat Therapy is an FDA approved, non-invasive treatment, comprised of infrared rays, negative ions and the conductive properties of amethyst. These three powerful health stimulators work synergistically to deliver holistic healing treatments on a cellular level. The Biomat reduces inflammation, stress and fatigue while increasing circulation and promoting muscle relaxation.

Body Work

Myofascial Release (MFR)

Also known as Connective Tissue Therapy (CTT)

This therapy approaches the physical body as a whole in order to find where the source of the discomfort is arising and how that connects to the place where the discomfort is actually felt. The focus is on relieving pain caused by restriction in the fascia and other connective tissue. Often, these restrictions are present somewhere other than the point of discomfort. In this work the hands-on contact will vary based on the individual and the integrity of the tissue. Once the therapist has connected with the fascia, the tissue will guide the direction of the therapists hands, the therapist waits for the tissue to allow movement instead of forcing the tissue to move. This allows for greater awareness in the client giving them a chance to explore where their discomfort is actually coming from thus allowing for other changes (such as postural habits) to be addressed. Because MFR is connecting to a deeper layer of the body it is not a kneading or stroking motion. It requires time and patience from both therapist and the client. Clients can assist by using breath to help release restrictions from the inside. Many clients report that benefits last longer than traditional massage alone.

Neuromuscular Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger points are usually referred to as “knots” in the muscle that can cause discomfort or pain. Often the discomfort in these points can extend beyond that specific area (called referral). Neuromuscular Trigger Point Therapy is the method of applying pressure to those specific points within the muscle and related tissue so that the whole muscle can relax or return to a healthy state.

Swedish Massage

One of the most common types of massage, Swedish Massage uses flowing techniques designed to move blood and lymph in order to increase circulation, promote relaxation, relieve aching muscles and aid in overall well-being.
